Also, this computer has Dual Core, not Quad~ I would also like to emphasize this is the M17R1, not the M17xR1 that seemingly has latency issues. YouTube - M17 Static sound durring Bad Company 2 &rlm

I have listed my PC info below, and likewise, they are in the description of the YouTube video as well (in addition to further explanations as to my own research and testing.) If there is absolutely any information that I can provide or tests that you can recommend to try and get to the bottom of this, or even come closer to solving it would be greatly appreciated and I await your feedback! I have been fighting it for a good six months and Alienwares notorious tech support has already scammed me out of $60 dollars so i'm willing to try just about anything! Thank you! Again, the randomness is what is making me think i'm looking in the wrong area.) After repeating the -same- experiment the next day the video played just fine. However, after plugging in the issue quickly stopped. but, after unplugging the system made this repeating static and lag sound much like you see in game. Other observations that I have made suggest that it may be a power issue (While running on HDMI I noted that I could play an HD video on Youtube. (the longest being 5 days) it has continued to persist.īelow I have provided an issue of Bad Company 2, you needn't watch the entire thing just the first few moments will suffice to hear the exact sound I am referring to, note that there is a momentary lag associated with it. While some of these (especially the drivers) seemed to alleviate and even stop this issue. Changed out the battery, tested it in AC and off AC Tested it in rooms cooled to 65 and under and rooms over 90 Tested it in an outlet and across an extension chord

Installed and Reinstalled Drivers (Both AW and OEM) This problem varies in intensity and seems to occur randomly and without any particular cause. However, I have had the problem in Minecraft lol) intermittently there will be a static sound followed by a momentary lag and stutter.

This problem is that after playing in-game (especially high intensity ones, such as Bad Company 2 and Black Ops. I do everything over a VPN connection into my network and leave very little exposed to the open internet.Alright, so for the last 6 or so months I have been incurring a progressively worsening issue with my M17 Laptop. I personally don't do this, so I don't know offhand which ports are required. The place shifter issue sounds like you don't have the appropriate ports open on your router for the connection to pass through to your Sage instance. Well, this sounds like a completely separate issue from the remote mapping issue. So I tried putting service mode back on, just to check whether that had anything to do with it, and still had the problem.

My desktop placeshifter and Android miniclient when connecting via LAN are fine, but when I try the locator ID method, I can't get it to accept the password. I may be having some success, though, with getting USBUIRT working by leaving service mode (see linked thread below):Įverything seems to work, except getting the Android miniclient to connect using locator id. I would however like to know if there is a way to map direct to some other menu items (MyTV, Scheduled Recordings, etc) which need a couple of clicks at the moment The learned remote had some of what I assume were MCE commands for My Music, My Videos, My Pictures which do work (surprise surprise)! I could not assign channels as most of mine have been remapped and have decimals, but I also think need a Enter Enter to accept. The remote supports 5 favorite channels, which can be assigned any command. I then assigned the unused buttons, though some I chose to duplicate for convenience.

There were a number of unassigned buttons and I needed to add new commands for "Return" and "Menu". (It wants to configure the IR Reciever and does not care about the remote => RC6) It pushed me down the learning route, which only required 3 key validations. I ended up using Microsoft as the manufacturer and "MCE Remote" as the device, which was not found. The current Logitech does not contain dropdowns, only fill ins, so it makes finding some less common devices hard. I was able to find the SageTV set top boxes, but not able to find a suitable entry for the client.
